Inspired by the story of Kalu Kumaraya, the infamous Sri Lankan folk tale of a tall, dark, handsome prince, who was cursed to spend his days seducing and tormenting young beautiful women to the point of their death. He is said to live in the shadows near rivers and lakes, so it is best to stay away from the waterside at dusk. The act incorporates a blend of  Pahatharata and folk dance styles to portray the story of the innocent young woman becoming possessed by this demonic prince.
