This Vannama is the recital of the Peacock. The dancers perform to the singing in praise of the beautiful Peacock bird, God Skanda’s vehicle. He is known as the glorious God with a long spear and for being compassionate to his devotees.

The dancers mimic the head movements of the Peacock during this vannama, wearing a vibrant coloured costume portraying the bird and it’s glittering fan-like tail with beautiful spotted feathers – all adding glamour to the recital.
