   The workshop was really fun, active and interesting. I learnt how to go out of my comfort zone in Kandyan dancing. Additionally I enjoyed doing the dances and hope to do more in the future.

   A huge thank you to the Kandyan Dancers Company for providing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend a workshop with maestro Channa Wijewardana and his team, all the way from Sri Lanka. The workshop was exceptionally well-organized, and I truly enjoyed every moment of it.

   Jananath Sir’s drumming session was incredibly insightful, and the opportunity to choreograph our own pieces challenged our creativity and teamwork skills. Channa Sir’s entire team was extremely supportive. Watching them perform right in front of us was an unforgettable and surreal experience.

   Overall, this workshop was an incredible experience, and I’m grateful to have been part of it!

   I really enjoyed this workshop. It was fun and active. I also think this was very creative. It was very exciting meeting a famous person from Sri Lanka. This workshop has helped me learn more about Kandyan dance and the culture behind it. I was very impressed by all the moves and acts that they showed us. This workshop has inspired me to attend more workshops like this. I hope in the future there will be more workshops like this.

   A truly humbling experience. I am so honoured to have been part of it. Extremely grateful to KD Co. and Dilini for giving us this opportunity. The workshop was insightful, well organised and heart warming. Blessed to have heard Jananath Sir sing right in front of us! What a surreal experience! Maestro Channa Wijewardana’s teachings will forever be remembered. What a blessing it was to have learnt from the best! Additionally, everyone in the Channa Upuli dance troupe was mesmerising to say the least. It was a privilege to have seen them perform. Overall, a truly remarkable experience, from teaching us on how to present ourselves on stage to giving us the opportunity to create our own pieces was a literal highlight, which encouraged us to push our artistic boundaries! Immensely grateful!

   It was an immense honour attending a dance workshop conducted by the renowned Channa Upuli Performing Arts. It was a dream come true to learn from the maestro himself, Channa Wijewardena. His passion for dance and deep understanding of Kandyan tradition truly brought the art form to life.

   The workshop was expertly organized by the Kandyan Dancers Company, and I cannot thank them enough for providing this incredible opportunity. From the moment I stepped into the studio, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of creativity and inspiration. Each movement, each rhythm, and each story told through dance sparked a sense of joy and connection to my own childhood aspirations.

   One of the highlights of the workshop was the drumming session led by the talented Jananath Sir. His energy was infectious, and the way he guided us through the intricate beats was nothing short of magical. It was fascinating to see how the drumming intertwined with the dance, creating a harmonious blend that truly captured the essence of Kandyan culture.

   Throughout the workshop, I felt a strong sense of community among the participants, all of whom shared a love for dance and a desire to learn. The supportive environment fostered by Channa Wijewardena and his team allowed everyone to express themselves freely and grow as artists.

   I am incredibly grateful for this experience, as it has not only honed my skills but also reignited my passion for dance. I left the workshop feeling inspired, empowered, and eager to continue my journey in the world of dance. Thank you to everyone involved for making this remarkable experience possible!
