Professor Mudiyanse Dissanayake is a distinguished Sri Lankan dancer, academic, and cultural advocate, renowned for his expertise in Hill Country Classical Dance, a traditional form of Kandyan dance. His extensive career encompasses performance, teaching, and research, significantly contributing to the preservation and promotion of Sri Lanka’s rich dance heritage.
Beyond his artistic endeavours, Professor Dissanayake has played a pivotal role in arts education and cultural leadership. He has been instrumental in mentoring emerging artists and has been associated with initiatives like the Professor Mudiyanse Dissanayake Art Foundation, which aims to foster artistic growth and cultural appreciation.
